Our First Event in Toronto!

We have decided to take Vegiterra to the streets of Toronto!  What has started as a travel blog, offering Indonesian visa information to expats, is now officially a pop-up restaurant, or "warung" as it is called in Indonesian.

Our first event happened on June 8th as part of the Annex Flea, where we sold two kinds of empanadas: Kilimanjaro, which is inspired by this African Peanut stew recipe, and Agung, which is a fragrant corn and coconut filling accented with lemongrass and lime leaves.

The event was a success and we were so happy to be part of it.  We look forward to participating in more po-ups with Vegiterra in the future, and sharing our food with vegetarian / vegan and Ontario public.

Honest Ed's lot on Bloor,  where the Annex Flea took place.

This is our menu with 4 edible plants: Nasturtium, oregano, lemon balm, and chili pepper.
