Creamy Cardamom and Carrot Smoothie

Carrot and Cardamom are a delicious combo of flavours that are popular in many Indian desserts, and carrot root shakes are a common refresher in Southeast Asia, so why not combine the two? This is a very easy-to-make shake that is full of flavour and is quite satisfying.
For 3 servings 
  • 1 large carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup water 
  • 1 cup soy milk (or coconut, or almond or rice) 
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom 
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, (or other sweeteners- to taste)
  1. Add the raw carrots, water, milk, and cardamom to a blender, and blend until the carrots have pulped.  
  2. Gradually add sugar to taste and blend for about a minute.
  3. You can optionally blend one cup of ice cubes to the drink, making it more like a chilled slush.
